Crarae Gardens are situated in Argyll and Bute on the North side of Loch Fyne (west coast of Scotland).
Around 50 acres in size, these gardens contain a mixture of beautiful plants trees and flowers.
The Crarae Burn runs down through them, making delightful little places to rest and watch the water flow past.
In spring, the gardens are spectacular with over four hundred rhododendrons and azaleas,
Autumn colours bring more beauty with the outstanding variety of deciduous trees.
There are many woodland walks and also a Neolithic burial cairn dating back to 2500 BC to be found within the gardens.
This year we visited in Spring with the intention of going back in Autumn but the weather was so poor we have left the Autumn visit for next year.
The slideshow on the following page contains 26 photographs, mainly of the gardens as the woodland walks are not accessible to my wheelchair.
The gardens are now in the care of The National Trust for Scotland.
