Open a new canvas 450W x 450H colour white. All parts are 3D round border 3 depth 30. I used a wood preset T15 in from the material attributes realistic gallery. 1.Select the path drawing tool, shape ellipse. 2.Draw a shape 165W x 75H and rotate this piece 18 degrees to the right. 3.Go into path edit. Delete the bottom node then convert that line to a straight line add two nodes as shown...pic 1 4.Convert the line between the two new nodes to a curve then use the handles to get this curve matching the top one. 5.Pull the node on the left side slightly up and the one on the right slightly down. 6.Use the handles to move the two bottom inner points to form a shape like this one shown. That is one of the foot parts complete, duplicate this twice and place the duplicates on another canvas for now.
|
7.Now for the upright part of the frame. 8.Draw a rectangle 25w x 245h. 9.Path edit and pull the bottom left node slightly up and the top right node slightly down then convert the top line to a curve Duplicate this piece and put on the same canvas as your other duplicates. These 2 pieces together look something like this as shown. Group them and move them over to leave room to work

Now the cradle end piece. 10.Draw a rectangle 120w x 20h and rotate it 9 degrees to the right. 11.Path edit and move the bottom left node in a little towards the right, same with the other bottom node. ( top picture in this section). 12.Next piece, draw a rectangle 20w x 110h transform and slant the left edge. 13.Path edit and give the line on the right a gentle curve. 14. Draw another rectangle 12w x 105h slant this piece to match the first one, duplicate and move it along a bit. 15.Now the other wider piece for the other side, draw a rectangle 20w x 100h. 16.Slant the left side so the top slants in the opposite direction from the other parts. Convert the line on the left to a curve then use handles to form a very gentle curve. 17.Now get one of the duplicates you made for the very first piece and rotate it 10 degrees to the left. Resize it to 158w x 110h, and let's improve the top curve. 18.Pull the top node up and smooth out the curve using the handles as shown. 19.Put all these end pieces together as shown in this last picture in this section. Group and duplicate, place duplicate on the other canvas. Do not merge anything yet.

Now the Sides. 20.Draw a rectangle 180w 18h then rotate it 18 degrees to the left go into path edit to get this shape shown. 21.Duplicate this piece then move it upwards and rotate it 12 degrees to the right. This is going to give you the bottom and top bar and when in position the top one will look longer and narrower at the far end which is what we want to maintain perspective. 22.Take your duplicated end part group and place it in position as shown. 23.Now duplicate the bottom side bar, rotate and flip vertically, then rotate and flip horizontally and put in position. 24.Duplicate the top side bar and place in position Have you saved this recently:-).

Side struts..we do not want the baby to escape:-) 25.Draw a rectangle 12w x 85h, distort to this shape shown. 26.Place between the top and bottom bars then duplicate the strut 5 times, place as shown. 27.Group the struts and duplicate then use the layer manager to put them in position for the other side as shown Nearly there now. Group all of these parts so they don't move.

28.Move the upright end part into position. 29.Duplicate and move the duplicate into position at the head of the cradle. 30.Last piece, draw a rectangle 130x 22h rotate it 10 degrees to the right and distort to fit between the two end supports as shown. We need something for the baby to lie on or she's going to fall out the bottom:-) The mattress is just a 3D rectangle distorted to fit the base and fluffed up with some filters. Final decorative pieces, I used little circles to pin upright to the cradle and to use as handles to slide the side down. All done, your baby now has a cradle and just in case this baby turns out not to to be a girl you may want to save this to the easy pallete before merging so you can change the mattress:-)
