Ready to go, then let's open up PI and get started.

We will start with the house roof.
We are going to use a fairly big canvas as I like to see what I am doing.

Select the path drawing tool, shape rectangle 2D colour black.
1.Open a new image 450 x 450, colour white.

2.Draw a shape 142W x 30H and use the tranform tool perspective and make the top of this piece narrower.
3.Go into path edit.

4.Move the top left node to the right, keeping the top line straight.

5.Add a node to the left side and move it to sit under the one above it, keeping all lines straight to form the second shape shown here.

Put this piece to one side for now.

6.Draw another rectangle 135W x 48H, this is the wall of the house.

7.Go into continue draw make a small rectangle 13 x20, change to path edit and duplicate this 3 times.

8.Arrange in a row approximately placed then select them all and then right click and distribute horizontally, right click and align middle to get the shape shown.

9.Now lets finish this piece by adding little window frames.

10.Outline drawing tool, shape rectangle, mode 3D round, border 2 depth 30, colour any, we will change it later to white.

11.Make a rectangle to fit round the window, line and arrow straight line to add the window panes. select these 3 pieces in the layer manager and group, duplicate the group three times and place one over each window.

12.Select and group the 4 windows with the wall, do NOT merge as single object.

Place to one side.

Now we will make the front walls of the windmill.

Path drawing tool, shape rectangle, colour black, mode 2D.

13.Draw a rectangle 35W x115H.

14.Distort this shape just a tiny bit at the top right corner to get a shape like the one shown.

15.Now draw another rectangle for the middle of the windmill, 47W X 117H.

16.One more rectangle, 40W X 115H.
Distort this one to make the second shape shown.

17.Put the 3 pieces you just made together to form this shape, I have drawn lines on mine to show the perspective.
Don't worry if the top is not quite level, this part will be under the roof.

18.Group these pieces and move to one side and we will make the roof.

Now for some fun, the roof!.

Path drawing tool, shape rectangle, colour black, mode 2D.

19.Draw a rectangle 48W X 126H.
Go into path edit.

20.Move the top right node to the left, to get this shape as shown.

21.Now move the bottom left node slightly to the right then convert both sides to curves, use the handles to get this shape shown.

22.Draw another rectangle 36W X 126H.

23.Transform, perspective, widen the bottom of this shape a little, go to path edit and convert both of the long sides to curves use the handles to get this shape shown. 24.Draw one more rectangle 30W X 126H.

25.Into path edit and move the top left node to the right.
Move the bottom left node to the left and slightly downwards.
Then convert both of the longer lines to curves and shape using the handles.

Just the domed part of the roof now.

26.Path drawing tool, shape half circle, mode 2D, colour red.
Draw a shape then use tranform resize to make the bottom edge fit over the 3 front pieces, mine is 62 x 42.

Now with lines on to show the curves you have something like this.

Very boring in these colours so lets add some colour and texture.
